Our Services

Mobile Sight Centre

We operate a free, informal, drop-in service for visually impaired people, their loved ones, carers and friends on board our Mobile Sight Centre.

What ever sight loss information you are seeking, our staff can provide you with expert advice and information about sight related issues.

Maybe you want information about another local or national organisation that can provide assistance?

Our staff can put visitors in touch with these organisations or in some cases make direct referrals on your behalf.

On board our Mobile Sight Centre you will find a variety of equipment designed to help alleviate the everyday difficulties visually impaired people encounter. We can demonstrate aids to help with reading and writing, cooking, telling the time, large print items and many more. We can’t stock everything, especially larger items which tend to be stocked at the Northampton Sight Centre.

Our Mobile Sight Centre makes regular visits to towns and villages across Northamptonshire, as well as some GP Surgeries and libraries.

We also organise regular talks and demonstrations to care homes and sheltered housing, day centres and community groups so if this would be of interest to you, please call our Helpline: 01604 719193.

If you would like to find out when the Mobile Sight Centre is coming to a location near you, phone our helpline on 01604 719193
