Advice and Support in your home

Sight loss can be very worrying, and often a fearful experience. All sorts of questions and concerns go through yours and loved ones’ minds.

But where do you get the answers or the reassurance you need?

That's where our Community Team can help...

For more than 20 years we have provided a free and personal advice and information service to individuals across the county in the privacy and comfort of their own home.

Our friendly and experienced staff can offer you the chance to talk things through and get support for the challenges you are encountering.

Home visits are informal and unhurried, allowing plenty of time to raise the issues that are bothering you. We can address anything of a non-medical nature, from general explanation of an eye condition or the meaning and benefits of registration (blind or partially sighted).

We can also discuss ways of alleviating the various practical difficulties sight loss causes and the services that are there to help you and your family or carers.

We can advise and arrange the support you need, and a follow-up visit checks your needs are met.

A home visit could help you come to terms with your sight loss and enable you to remain independent. Contact us today on 01604 719193.
