NAB ran a competition for young people to design the charity’s new Eye Superheros which will be the symbols of its work with children. The aim was to get young people more involved with the charities work – NAB runs ‘iEducation’ sessions with years 5 and 6 to help them understand about living with sight loss and how to prevent it.

Over 30 entries were received from three Primary Schools – Cogenhoe Primary, Abbey Primary and Beanfiled Primary, as well as a few other independent entries. The winners will be Mascots at the Northampton Saints games against Lyon on Sunday 17 November.

6 finalists went forward to be judged by Alex Coles and David Ribbans from Northampton Saints Rugby Club and here is a video of them judging:

The winners are #Spectalina pictured left and #ValiantVision pictured below. We are now working with Ben Tompkins at Third Avenue Creative to turn the drawings into actual characters. Watch this space!
