NAB named official charity partner for The Cobblers
Northamptonshire Association for the Blind (NAB) has been chosen as an official charity partner of Northampton Town Football Club from 1 July 2018, one of twelve charities to benefit from the partnership.
NAB hopes to use this opportunity to raise awareness across the county of who they are, what they do, and how they can help partially sighted and blind adults and children. It is also an opportunity to continue to show young people and adults with sight loss that they can participate in sports and achieve just about anything their sighted friends can.
Alexander Lohman, NAB’s CEO, said:
“We’re absolutely delighted to be chosen – one of our key aims for the next three years it to reach an even wider audience than we currently do. Despite the 3,500 people on our service-user database, we know that there are some 20,000 people living with some degree of sight loss in the county. As a Northamptonshire charity with a strong local heritage, partnering with our local football team and their fans is an obvious connection – and is a great compliment to Northampton Town Multi-Disabled Club.”
